Image The NSS-CDS 2008 Workshop was a huge success! Over 300 people attended the event and went diving in the Jackson County caves Memorial Day weekend. There were people from over 25 states and 9 countries. There were great speakers throughout both days of presentations and some great workshops on Sunday at Blue Springs Recreational Area. We also had several people stop by and hang out during the barbecue.

Thanks to everyone who came out and helped to make this weekend such a success. We hope the workshop is scheduled here on a regular basis and we hope to see more divers come out this way.

ImageDive Rite was at the Blue Springs Recreational Area (Jackson Blue) on May 3, 2008 from 9am until 4pm. It looked like everyone had a great time trying out new Dive Rite gear. And quite a few people left that day with some great deals! Hope you were able to make it out that day. If not, make sure you come out next time!

Local Cave Conditions
Sunday, 27 April 2008

Jackson Blue

The flow at Jackson Blue is coming down. It's been up since lots of local rainfall in February. After a few months of fluctuating, it's on the way down. Visibility has been in the 80'+ range. And water temperature was 68 degrees, as always. We will update this report if anything changes.

Hole in the Wall

Hole in the Wall had some of the best conditions ever recently. You will find visibility in both downstream and upstream sections in the 50-100' range depending on where you are in the system. Hole in the Wall can be hit or miss because of water intrusion from the pond. The water temperature can even fall into the 50s. Right now you can expect to find 68 degree water and an easy swim with little flow.

Twin Cave

It's Twin's turn to have great conditions! Visibility has remained in the 100' range for several weeks. The only thing stopping the visibility right now is the limestone walls. There's no telling how long it will stay this way, so now is the time to see it. Water temperature is also 68 degrees with little flow as well.

A quick disclaimer: Conditions are from personal observation and as reported by divers visiting the caves. Conditions can change from day to day. The conditions we report may not necessarily be the conditions you find.
